<p>A register control method and a system thereof for IP Multimedia Core Network Subsystem (IMS) are disclosed by the present invention. The method includes: an Application Server (AS), when judging that register of a user is to be controlled, notifies a Serving Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) to control the register of the user, and the S-CSCF notifies a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) to control the register of the user; or the S-CSCF, after receiving a register request from the user, sends a keep-alive identifier to the P-CSCF or the P-CSCF and an Interconnection Border Control Functions (IBCF), the P-CSCF or the IBCF, when judging that the user is to be de-registered, notifies the S-CSCF to de-register the user. The subject-matters of the present invention, controlling keep-alive, keep-alive cancel and de-register via network, solves the problem that when the user has session in a Circuit Switch (CS) domain and is unable to send data to a Packed Switch (PS), the register of the user is invalid due to timeout, so as to lead to IMS service discontinuity, and de-registers the register of the user when malfunction occurs in a User Equipment (UE) which is unable to perform IMS re-register.</p> |
