FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely ophthalmology, and can be used for treating diabetic macular retinopathy (DMR), particularly diabetic macular oedema. It involves laser infrared transpupillary thermotherapy that implies having a single exposure on an eye retina to subthreshold radiation of wave length 810 nm, in a micropulse mode, radiation power 500-2000 mWt, spot diameter 3-5 mm for 5-20 seconds. A working cycle of microimpulse enable in a micropulse mode is 10-20 %. ^ EFFECT: method allows improving visual acuity ensured by decreased macular thickness, eliminating risk of the intraoperative and remote complications, and also reducing length of treatment. ^ 2 cl, 2 ex |
