<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light-emitting device, by which the deterioration of a liquid-repellent of barriers can be suppressed in the case of forming an organic EL layer on an entire display area commonly to all of organic EL elements. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a light-emitting device having a support substrate, barriers for defining compartments previously set on the support substrate, and organic EL elements provided in the compartments defined by the barriers comprises the steps of: preparing the support substrate with the barriers and first electrodes formed thereon; forming, from a material to be a first organic EL layer, a thin film for EL layer on an entire display area where the organic EL elements are provided and reducing the thin film for EL layer in thickness thereby to form the first organic EL layer; supplying an ink containing a material to be a second organic EL layer to areas defined by the barriers and solidifying the ink thereby to form the second organic EL layer; and forming a second electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
