<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weld the total sheet thickness by one pass for eliminating angular deformation and welding distortion when performing the arc-welding of steel sheets arranged adjacently in the vertical direction. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for performing the butt-welding of the stainless steel sheets arranged in the vertical direction, by making the stainless steel sheets an I-groove, attaching a ceramic backing material to the one side of a weld zone between the stainless steel sheets and performing gas shield arc welding by using a flux-cored wire from the opposite side of the one side of the stainless steel sheets, the total sheet thickness being welded by one pass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
