<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever which has a simple structure and can wipe out a sense of incongruity felt by a user when an operation section is pressed. <P>SOLUTION: The shift lever includes: a lever body 1 which is supported by a base plate so as to be rocked and is used for shift range switching operation of a transmission mounted on a vehicle; a detent rod 4 which is engaged with a detent hole formed in the base plate and regulates rocking of the lever body 1. Then, according to depressing operation of a button 40 provided to the lever body 1, engagement of the detent hole with the detent rod 4 is released to enable rocking of the lever body 1. Here, a holder 30 for constituting an operation section 2 includes: an inclined face 35a where the detent rod 4 slides; a coil spring 34 which energizes the operation section 2 in a pressing direction shown by an arrow c and holds the operation section 2 and the detent rod 4 in a state that the detent rod is brought into contact with the operation section; and a mounting section 33 for accommodating and mounting the coil spring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
