PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform parameter control for processing based on the result of pattern detection.

SOLUTION: An image control device is provided with: detection means to detect a specific area including a specific pattern from each frame of color images taken in sequence; first area evaluation value extraction means to extract a first area evaluation value indicating feature amount of the specific area from the specific area of each frame; second area reliability calculation means to calculate a second area evaluation value indicating the detection reliability of the specific area for each frame; first frame evaluation value extraction means to extract a first frame evaluation value indicating lighting color at imaging of a frame from an entire area of each frame; correction means to correct the second area evaluation value based on a corresponding first frame evaluation value, when the calculated second evaluation value is below a threshold; and setting means to set a parameter for processing on the frame or the next frame in accordance with the corrected second area evaluation value and the first area evaluation value of each frame.
