<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust stretching/tension of a band saw by causing pulleys across which the band saw is spanned to approach or separate from each other even if the band saw has contraction/expansion property. <P>SOLUTION: When a band saw 10 contracts because an object to be cut is cold, a slave pulley 5, a slave pulley shaft 36, and a pulley bearing 37 are lowered, to push down an operation pin 41, so that a lever plate 28 rotates upward through a fulcrum shaft 27. Thus, contraction of the band saw 10 is absorbed, to prevent the tension of the band saw 10 from becoming excessive, with no damage on the band saw 10, while tension of the band saw 10 is kept constant, allowing an object to be cut neatly. An inverse result is generated if the object is too hot. Thanks to a dovetail 42 of a fulcrum bearing 19 and a dovetail bank 44 of a pulley regulation slider 43, the moving direction of the pulley regulation slider 43, a pulley bearing 37, and the slave pulley shaft 36 are regulated only along the direction connecting two slave pulleys 4 and the slave pulley 5. Consequently, the band saw 10 is not tilted when the slave pulley 5 is moved, preventing an object from being diagonally cut. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
