<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional display area at any position on a screen. <P>SOLUTION: When a three-dimensional display area is provided at any position on a screen and the other parts are set to two-dimensional display areas, in a state where a predetermined voltage is generated by an X-line generating section 31 and a Y-line generating section 32, out of switches 33 of a first electrode group 16 on the side of the X-line generating section 31, only a switch corresponding to the three-dimensional display area is turned on, and out of switches 34 on a ground side, a switch corresponding to the three-dimensional display area is turned off, and the remainder switches other than that are turned on. Out of switches 35 of a second electrode group 19 on the side of the Y-line generating section 32, only a switch corresponding to the three-dimensional display area is turned on, and switches 36 on the ground side, only a switch corresponding to the three-dimensional area is turned off and the remainder switches other than that are turned on.
