PURPOSE: A primer set which is specific to determine male sterility citrus is provided to early diagnose normality of pollen development of a stamen using a genome DNA. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for determining male sterility citrus contains one or more oligonucleotides selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides having 15 or more serial nucleotides of sequence number 2; and one or more oligonucleotides selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides having 15 or more serial nucleotides of sequence number 3. A kit for determining male sterility citrus contains the primer set and reagent for amplification. A method for early determining male sterility citrus comprises: a step of isolating a genome DNA form citrus; a step of amplifying a target sequence by PCR using primer set; and a step of detecting PCR products. |
