<p>Disclosed are a lens barrel and a lens barrel assembly method with which generation of cutting waste during assembly can be avoided and degradation of optical performance caused by cutting waste in the assembled lens barrel is prevented. A lens holding member (130) is supported in a lens frame (140) inner section surrounded by the inside surface (141) of the lens frame (140). The lens holding member (130) holds, in the inner section which is surrounded by an inside wall (131), four lenses (111, 112, 113 and 114)and three spacing rings (121, 122, and 123) across the entire circumference thereof in the circumferential direction. The lens holding member (130) is a member made from resin having a hardness that is lower than the hardness of both the four lenses (111, 112, 113 and 114) and the lens frame (140).</p> |
