<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining deterioration of a secondary battery, which can be expected to accurately determine whether a secondary battery is good or not, and a control system for a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: First, an internal resistance of a target battery is acquired (S01). When the internal resistance is equal to or higher than a threshold (S02: YES), the target battery is neglected till a standby period passes (S04), and subsequently, the internal resistance is acquired again (S06). When the first internal resistance and the second internal resistance are compared with each other to determine that the internal resistance is restored (S07: YES), the target battery is determined to be not deteriorated (S18).
