<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit of a simple structure capable of forming the number of light distribution patterns more than the number of types which can be realized only by switching-on and -off of a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The optical unit is provided with: a plurality of first shades 12A which are arranged with a prescribed space in a vehicular width direction and capable of moving between an advance position where a part of the light emitted from a bulb is shielded and a retreat position where no light is shielded; and a second shade 12B which is engaged with an end part of the first shade 12A in the vehicular width direction and moves between the advance position and the retreat position together with the first shade 12A. The second shade 12B covers the space between the neighboring first shades 12A. Further, there is provided a shifting mechanism 18 which is connected to each of the first shades 12A and shifts them to either the advance position or the retreat position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
