The invention relates to an audio messaging system 1 comprising: at least one loudspeaker 11,21; at least one sensor 14,24 adapted to sense the identity of a person in the proximity of the or each sensor; a receive device 41 arranged to receive audio messages from a third party for delivery to a specific person whose identity is sensed by the or each sensor 14,24; and a controller 43 to compare whether an identity signal from the sensor corresponds to the specific person, and in response to playback a received audio message through the at least one loudspeaker 11,21. The system may further be arranged to provide video messages to identified persons via at least one display device. The identity of a person may be determined by means of an identity tag 30 worn by a person, or by means of a camera 13,23. The system is particularly suited for use at a sports circuit whereby each sensor is spaced apart along the circuit. |
