FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: work pieces are quenched by dry method in installation (1) with quenching chamber (2), and with heating and/or cooling devices for control of temperature prevailing in working space of quenching chamber. Internal wall (5) restricting working space (4) of quenching chamber (2) at least partially has surface of heating and/or cooling and is made with thermo-stated fluid medium, while heating and/or cooling devices facilitate keeping temperature of said internal wall (5) of the quenching chamber at level at least approximately corresponding to temperature of required structural change in material of work pieces. ^ EFFECT: facilitation of structural change in material of work pieces and manufacture of required structure. ^ 13 cl, 4 dwg |
