PURPOSE: A method for culturing perpuetal hepatocyte cell line from rodents is provided to regenerate hepatocytes and to enable permanent culture of hepatocyte cell line. CONSTITUTION: A method for culturing perpuetal hepatocyte cell line from rodents comprises: a step of supplying liver damage inducing agent to the rodents to injury to the liver of rodents; a step of extracting a part of or entire liver of rodents and isolate hepatocytes; and a step of culturing the hepatocytes. The rodents are rats, mice, or guinea pigs. The liver damage inducing agent is 3,5-diethoxycarbonyl-1,4-dihydrocholidine(DDC), CCl_4, or thioacetamide. A feed contains 0.01-10 wt% of the liver damage inducing agent.
