<p>The invention provides a method, a system and an application server for achieving call waiting in a click to dial (CTD) service. A first terminal in a talking state and a second terminal in a new call in the CTD service are involved. The method includes: the second terminal sends a call request message to the first terminal via a CTD application server (CTD AS); the CTD AS notifies a CTD web server (CTD WS) that a new call is accessed; the first terminal commands the second terminal to perform call waiting, and sends a call waiting request message to the CTD AS via the CTD WS; and the CTD AS notifies the second terminal that it is in a called connection, and controls a media resource server (MRS) to play a call waiting tone for the second terminal simultaneously. The method fills the blank of the call waiting function in the CTD service, thus enabling the CTD service to adapt the requirements of an intelligent network communication system.</p> |
