PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone terminal, program for mobile phone terminal and starting method for measuring the present position, capable of quickly starting the guidance by shortening the waiting time for measurement of the present position. SOLUTION: A system control part 28 of the mobile phone Mp starts map application, makes the GPS positioning part 27 start to measure the present position of the mobile phone MP, parallel to the performance of the map application preceding to setting the destination information in the RAM, based on the designation operation of the destination which is performed by the user using the operation part 25, and performs walking guidance, starting from the present position which is positioned by the GPS positioning part 27, to the destination indicated by the destination information set.
