<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering system that changes drive feeling according to states, and to provide a steering control apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The steering system including: a steering member 2 provided in a vehicle and configured to be rotatable; an adjustment apparatus 6 configured to adjust a rotary direction vibration of the steering member 2; and a steering control apparatus 8 configured to control the adjustment apparatus 6, in accordance with an operating state of the vehicle, so as to execute the control of adjusting the rotary direction vibration of the steering member 2 thereby changing the driving feeling according to states. The adjustment apparatus 6 is configured to adjust the transmission degree of vibration transmitted to the steering member 2, for example.
