<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication device and an optical communication apparatus with the same, capable of increasing transmission capacity. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmitting/receiving module 200 includes: a multi-core optical connector 15 connected with a plurality of optical fibers; a plurality of optical receiving sub-assemblies 81-90; a signal processing circuit 31; a driver 51; and an optical transmitting sub-assembly 61. The signal processing circuit 31 converts a parallel electrical signal input from the optical receiving sub-assemblies 81-90 into a time-series electrical signal and outputs the electrical signal to the driver 51.
