PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in resistance to ultraviolet deterioration and durability.

SOLUTION: The disclosed method for producing a thermoplastic elastomer composition is a method for producing a thermoplastic elastomer composition having a phase structure comprising a continuous phase constituted from at least one thermoplastic resin and a dispersed phase finely dispersed in the continuous phase and constituted from dynamic crosslinked elastomer particles, wherein 1-15 pts.mass of furnace carbon black having a BET nitrogen adsorption specific surface of 100-260 m2/g and an average primary particle diameter of 10-25 nm is dispersed in the at least one crosslinkable elastomer component based on 100 pts.mass of a crosslinkable elastomer component before or during the dynamic crosslinking.
