摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for a lithium ion capacitor, a dope method thereof, and a lithium ion capacitor advantageous for enhancing energy density. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode material is, while being doped with lithium, doped with polyvalent metal whose valence is 2 or more. A dope method includes the step of arranging an auxiliary dope material 1 formed of the polyvalent metal whose valence is 2 or more, a lithium dope material 8, a separator 7, and an electrode 6 for dope having a negative electrode active material 5 in this order. The method further includes the step of holding the electrode 6 for dope and the auxiliary dope material 1 in electrolyte in the state of electrically connecting them by short circuit passage 10.
