<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an automatic transmission enabling the attainment of an increase in fuel economy and an improvement in riding comfort at low vehicle speeds by preventing the changeover control hunching of a lockup clutch from occurring at low shift stages. <P>SOLUTION: Lockup clutch control characteristics are stored so as to correspond to all of a plurality of shift stages, and a part of a lockup clutch on changeover line is changed in two different patterns according to an engine load at which the lockup clutch straddles a lockup clutch off changeover line so as to increase the distance between the lockup clutch off changeover line and the lockup clutch on changeover line, namely to increase the hysteresis. Consequently, an increase in fuel economy at low vehicle speeds can be achieved, and even at the low vehicle speeds at which the distance between the lockup clutch off changeover line and the lockup clutch on changeover line must be set small, namely the hysteresis must be set small, an improvement in riding comfortableness can be achieved by preventing the changeover control hunching of the lockup clutch from occurring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
