<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a process cartridge wherein, by a simple configuration, banding in the gear engagement pitch can be prevented which is caused by minute clearance and coaxial deviation in a brush roller core material and a brush roller drive gear. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a brush roller formed by disposing brush bristles around the brush roller core material, and the brush roller drive gear which is disposed on the central shaft of the brush roller core material and drives the brush roller.
