<p>The present invention is directed to substituted azoanthracene derivatives or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof that modulate the human GLP-1 receptor and that may be useful in the treatment of diseases, disorders, or conditions in which modulation of the human GLP-1 receptor is beneficial, such as diabetes mellitus type 2.
