PURPOSE: A portable terminal and operation control method thereof are provided to selectively supply a normal phone mode for supplying a call related function such as a smart phone mode. CONSTITUTION: A communication processor(181) controls the performance of a first operation. The communication processor displays a screen corresponding to the performance of the first operation on a display unit. An application processor(183) blocks the operation of the communication processor. The application process performs control operation with reference to the operation information related to the first operation.
