<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein many of coagulants for use in water treatment are white, but there are many kinds of coagulants, which are difficult to visually distinguish, and in manufacture, it is difficult to determine by visual observation whether raw materials are uniformly mixed in the case of mixing a plurality of raw materials for manufacture, and although coagulated flocs formed by coagulation precipitation treatment may be recycled or dumped as industrial waste, a third person cannot determine by visual observation whether the coagulated flocs are safe by looking at them, furthermore, there are many kinds of white powder-like food, and the coagulants cannot be distinguished from the food depending on a coagulant storage method or handling method and in consequence, there is the danger of accidental ingestion. <P>SOLUTION: A pigment insoluble in water and oil is mixed into the coagulant to color the coagulant. In the case of mixing a plurality of materials to manufacture the coagulant, the pigment is added to the raw materials to carry out manufacturing and coloring at the same time. Even if the pigment to be mixed is 1% or less to the coagulant, coloring can be confirmed by visual observation. Since the pigment is insoluble in water and oil, it does not dissolve into sewage but is coagulated and precipitated by the coagulant. The pigment is not therefore considered to hinder coagulation precipitation of sewage. The coagulated flocs formed by coagulation precipitation treatment are also colored with the pigment.
