A method, a device and a system for recognizing magnetic ink characters are disclosed. The method includes: reading magnetic signals of the magnetic ink characters on the medium to be recognized, obtaining amplitude feature data of the magnetic ink characters according to the magnetic signals of the magnetic ink characters, and processing the amplitude feature data of the magnetic ink characters for the spectral angle cosine matching to obtain a recognition result of the magnetic ink characters. The method can reduce the requirement for the stability of magnetic signals and improve the recognition ratio of the magnetic signals.
