A device, for the treatment of a contaminant 2 on a surface 1, comprising a spout 6 which leads into an adjustable hose 5 to convey a solvent 7 to an applicator 4, wherein said applicator 4 is arranged to be held and sealed to said surface 1 via a flexible seal 3 to allow said solvent 7 to immerse said contaminant 2 for a period of time without leakage. There may be a collapsible corrugated storage vessel or reservoir (16, figure 5b) at the filling end of the spout 6. The device is used for cleaning bird droppings, excrement, or similar contaminants 2 from the surface 1 of a vehicle using car shampoo 7 without having to touch said contaminant 2. The device may also provide thermal insulation. |
