<p>The present invention discloses a method and system for implementing emergency short messages, belonging to the technical field of communications. Wherein, said method includes the following steps: a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) entity receives an emergency message request from a roaming user, and transfers said emergency message request to an Emergency Call Session Control Function (E-CSCF) entity when the requested address obtained by parsing said emergency message request is the number of an emergency short message center; the E-CSCF entity inserts the address of a corresponding Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) into said emergency message request according to the location information of the user, converts said emergency message request to an emergency short message via an Emergency-IP-Short Message-Gateway (E-IP-SM-GW),and transfers said emergency short message to said emergency short message center. The requested address in the emergency message request in the present invention is the number of the emergency short message center, and the number enables a visited network to process the emergency message request locally rather than route the emergency message request to the home network of the user, thus improving the performance of the system.</p> |
