The method involves imaging an object using X-ray imaging device having X-ray source (Q) which is oriented at a preset angle, to obtain two-dimensional gray scale image of the object. The object is imaged for different angle positions of the X-ray source and flat X-ray detector (D), and the volume elements of the obtained gray scale images are computed to perform smooth projection of a three-dimensional image of the object.
