<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a electrochemical cell having decreased cracks of a hermetic glass comprised in its armored container. <P>SOLUTION: An electrochemical cell comprises an armored container composed of a lid made of SUS316L and a case made of SUS316L having at least one hermetically sealed portion and a concave portion storing an electric generating element, which are welded by scanned laser irradiation.
