<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the disconnection or resistance increase of a detection electrode, in a touch panel for supplying power from one side of the detection electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitance type touch panel comprises: a substrate; a plurality of X electrodes that are extended in a second direction and arranged side by side in a first direction crossing the second direction on the substrate; and a plurality of Y electrodes that are extended in the first direction crossing the X electrodes and arranged side by side in the second direction on the substrate, the touch panel supplying a drive voltage from one side of the plurality of Y electrodes. Lead-out wiring is connected respectively to the end part of each of at least one kind of the X electrodes and the Y electrodes. The capacitance type touch panel further includes an inspection electrode laminated through an insulating film with each end part on the side to which the lead-out wiring is not connected of the at least one kind of the electrodes. To the inspection electrode, a voltage for an inspection is supplied during the inspection, and a voltage having the same phase as the drive voltage supplied to the at least one kind of the electrodes is supplied during a normal operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
