Disclosed is a pneumatic tire (1) which is provided with a plurality of land sections (10 - 40) that extend in the peripheral direction of the tire, and wherein there are formed peripheral grooves (50 - 70) that are located between the land sections and extend along the peripheral direction of the tire. In the peripheral groove (70), there is formed an intra-groove groove (80), the upper end of which is defined by the groove bottom (71) of the peripheral groove (70), and which is recessed radially more inward than the peripheral groove (70). An inner wall surface (82) and an outer wall surface (83) which constitute a pair of wall surfaces that form the intra-groove groove (80), continuously extend in the peripheral direction of the tire while meandering in the tread width direction. The intra-groove groove (80) comprises wide groove width sections (80A) wherein the width of the intra-groove groove (80) along the tread width direction is equal to a predetermined width, and narrow groove width sections (80B) each of which continues to one of the wide groove width sections (80A) and the width of which is narrower than the predetermined width. The wide groove width sections (80A) and the narrow groove width sections (80B) are alternately provided along the peripheral direction of the tire. |
