<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable writing utensil which can make a clip retractable through a barrel following the operation to make a pen point retractable, and also, can make a writing element with a large length in the longitudinal direction mountable on the writing utensil. <P>SOLUTION: This retractable writing utensil comprises the writing element 20 accommodated inside the barrel 10; a pen point delivery mechanism 30 which can make the pen point retractable by forward/backward movement of a knocking bar 34 projecting from the rear end of the barrel 10; and the clip 50 which comes out and enters through the barrel 10 as interlocked with the retraction operation of the pen point. In addition, the clip 50 includes a base 51 and an insertion part 52, both supported by the rear end part of the barrel 10. A projecting part 51c is formed on the inner tube surface of the base 51. Further, the knocking bar 34 is introduced through the base 51 and the tubular part of the barrel 10, and has a guide groove 36, through which the projection part 51c is slidably inserted, formed on the outer circumferential surface of the knocking bar 34. Besides, the clip 50 is actuated in the radial direction by the sliding of the projection part 51c and the guide groove 26 following the forward/backward operation of the knocking bar 34, and results in the accommodation of the insertion part 52 into the barrel 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
