<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of the attraction force between a recording medium and a supporting means caused by static electricity, and to suppress the influence of the static electricity of the recording medium on ink to be discharged. <P>SOLUTION: A part of a recording medium P is destaticized, and the destaticized recording medium P is supported by a stage 10. Thus, the static electricity of the other part of the recording medium P can be remained, and the recording medium P can be attracted to the stage 10 by the static electricity which is not destaticized but remained. Further, ink can be discharged to a part of the recording medium P, in other words, the destaticized part.
