<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope usable as a file by cutting a used envelope along a separating line and to prevent damage or the like caused by contents moved inside the envelope. <P>SOLUTION: The envelope includes consecutive front sheet and back sheet and a seal piece at an upper end of the front sheet. The consecutive separating line extends from a lower end of the back sheet through a neighborhood of an upper end of the back sheet, a neighborhood of a folding line of a seal part of the front sheet and a periphery of a lateral end of the front sheet to a lower end of the front sheet. A lateral end connected part is formed by integrating the front sheet and the back sheet at the lateral end. A lower end connected part is formed by integrating the front sheet and the back sheet at the lower end. A joint part is formed between the lateral end connected part and the separating line by joining the front sheet and back sheet.
