<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast recording apparatus capable of dividing into chapters at the beginning of content without requiring an operation by a user. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast recording apparatus includes a character registration unit in which predetermined characters are registered, recording means that records received broadcast data on a storage medium, extracting means that extracts characters from the received broadcast data, character determining means that determines whether the characters extracted by the extracting means include the predetermined characters registered in the character registration unit, and dividing means that, when the characters extracted by the extracting means are determined to include the predetermined character in the character registration unit, divides the broadcast data into chapters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
