PURPOSE: A driving circuit for a liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to take a split inversion method, thereby reducing the amount of consumed power. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(2) includes a plurality of pixel areas. First and second gate drivers(6,7) drive odd-numbered gate lines and even-numbered gate lines of a liquid crystal panel. A data driver drives a plurality of data lines which is placed in the liquid crystal panel. A common voltage supply unit(10) inverts a common voltage at every frame unit. A timing controller(8) alternatively drives the first and second gate drivers at every frame unit.
