The device comprises a frame intended to be positioned above a loading funnel (20) of a press (2), plates (3) horizontally extending along the funnel, and an evacuation unit. The plates comprise a side, locations to receive grape crates (4) and a stopper, and are hinged to pivot according to a median horizontal axis and to pivot under control of an indexing unit for immobilizing the plate in a horizontal position while the location is off-centered with respect to the horizontal axis so that the weight of the grape crates causes the pivoting of plate and shifting of crates above the funnel.
