This invention relates to a method for forming battery shell. The procedures are as below: a battery shell is sleeved over a stretching block which can be slidding on the base and has an inclined or arc-shaped surface. On the two sides of the block are equipped with limit blocks, at least one of which can slide on the base. Said limit block is pushed, by the action of a clamping plate, to preset maximum distance positions, said block stops at the displacement of stretching direction. A die having an inclined or arc-shaped surface is put into the stretching block in the battery shell, thus makes the shell to be stretched to preset position being limited by the limit block by the stretching force produced between the stretching block and the die. finally, the die and the clamping plate are removed from the position. This invention also relates to the die used for this inventive method. High precision of the shape and size of the battery shell can be achieved, and also smooth charging of packings into said battery shell. |
