PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely measure a lateral width (seam width) of a seam part (seam fastened part), and to allow continuous measurement.SOLUTION: A seam width tester includes: a box body 1 formed of a rectangular top plate 11 and peripheral wall plates 12 vertically suspended at the four peripheral sides; a pressed part 2 supporting a back datum line 81a of a seam part 81 of a metal roof 8; a pressing part 3 having a gap corresponding to the normal width of the seam width of the seam part 81 of the metal roof 8 and having resilience so that it retracts when the normal value is exceeded; and a plurality of rolls 4, 4... at the fore and aft. The pressed part 2 and the pressing part 3 are vertically installed in the box body 1. The rolls 4 are provided in the box body 1 at both outer side positions of the pressed part 2 and the pressing part 3 and at the fore and aft. An alarm means X is provided so that an alarm signal is detected when the normal value is exceeded during measurement. |
