METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UPDATING AIR INTERFACE KEYS IN IDLE MODE

<p>The present invention, which belongs to a wireless communication field, provides a method and system for updating air interface keys in an idle mode. The method includes that when a terminal in the idle mode performs a location update or a network re-entry in a cell served by a control station, the terminal and the control station generate a transformed authorization key according to an authorization key respectively and update the respective air interface key according to the transformed authorization key respectively. According to the present invention, the problem that the terminal can not finish updating the air interface key successfully when a traditional access network is introduced is resolved and the security of the system is enhanced.</p>
