<p>A stress-estimating system for estimating complicated stress distribution exclusively from a mechanical equilibrium equation with membrane stress, without supposing any symmetry between the shape of a curvilinear surface and the stress distribution, said system comprising: a unit for inputting the polygonal data of a vascular wall; an interactive analysis condition-setting unit for setting blood pressure, pulling power seemingly acting at the vascular wall boundary, and constraint conditions seemingly being reasonable at the boundary; a stress-analyzing unit for solving the mechanical equilibrium equation with the membrane stress on the curvilinear surface, said curvilinear surface being formed of the vascular wall, under the conditions having been set by the polygonal data-inputting unit and the interactive analysis condition-setting unit to thereby determine a two-dimensional stress; and an interactive-visualizing unit for displaying the distribution of a stress component which is designated by a system user.</p> |
