PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which can give a proper notice according to vehicle drivers depending on intersection places even if there is no remaining time for switching traffic lights to be transmitted from a specific intersection.SOLUTION: The onboard navigation system gives notice in accordance with a current position detection means to detect a current position, a storage means to store map data, a route searching means to search a route from an optional position to a destination, a route guide means to guide a route searched by the route searching means, a congestion information acquisition means to obtain congestion information on a route, intersection data to store information on each intersection, an intersection determination means to determine whether a user of the navigation system is notified of the information when the current position detected by the current position detection means is present at the intersection corresponding to the intersection data, and a result determined by the intersection determination means. |
