PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face image synthesizing apparatus for synthesizing face images suitable for collation from face images including an area having a texture deformed from the original texture of the face.SOLUTION: A face image synthesizing apparatus 1 includes: a mapping part 53 for creating a three-dimensional face model corresponding to each face image by mapping a plurality of face images obtained by photographing the same candidate on three-dimensional face-shaped data; a developed face image generation part 54 for creating a developed face image by two-dimensionally developing each three-dimensional face model; a non-synthesis area setting part 55 for setting a non-synthesis area and a synthesis area in a first area in which the texture information of the face is not missing in the developed face image; a face image selection part 56 for selecting two or more developed face images; and a face image synthesis part 59 for creating a synthetic face image by mapping the values of pixels corresponding to a synthesis area set in a second developed face image among the selected developed face images in the non-synthesis area set to a first developed face image among the selected developed face images and a second area where the texture information is missing. |
