PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of obtaining an appropriate optical capability without interrupting downsizing, while a sealing capability around an optical element can be easily ensured without lowering degree of freedom for designing a case.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a lens barrel 30 retaining the optical element (40); an image pickup device 52 for obtaining the image of an object; a substrate 51 on which the image pickup device 52 is provided; a mounting wall portion 11 forming an outer surface S surrounding one end portion of the lens barrel 30 at an object side in a direction orthogonal to a photographing optical axis O; screw fixation means (11d and 11e) provided on the mounting wall portion 11 so as to fix the lens barrel 30 to the mounting wall portion 11 while pressing the one end portion (34) of the lens barrel 30 to the mounting wall portion 11 in a direction of the photographing optical axis O by screwing with a lens barrel side screw groove 36 provided on an outer circumference surface of the lens barrel 30; and a bond structure (54, C4, C5 and C6) bonding the other end portion of the lens barrel 30 to the substrate 51 by being hardened while positional relationship between the image pickup device 52 and the optical element optically positioned is maintained. |
