PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing liquid level detectors, capable of maintaining high accuracy of detection.SOLUTION: The method is provided for manufacturing a fuel level gauge 100 for detecting a height of a liquid level, which includes a housing 20 to be fixed to a fuel tank 90, and a circuit section 40 which has a magnetoelectric transducer 42, a capacitor 44, and terminals 41a-41c, and is buried inside the housing 20. In a first molding process, a covering part 26 for covering the terminals 41a-41c is molded out of a molding material for the housing 20. This covering part 26 has a positioning groove 25 whose longitudinal one end is a closed end 25b and the other end is an open end 25a. In a connecting process, a leg 44b of the capacitor 44 and a capacitor connection 40b are welded, while the capacitor 44 is in a positioned state by inserting the leg 44b into the positioning groove 25. In a second molding process, the capacitor 44 is covered, to form an external appearance part of the housing 20. |
