PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave detector detectable of pulse waves even under the conditions where external light intensity varies.SOLUTION: The pulse wave detector includes: a light source 33 repeatedly turned on and off; a light receiving element 34 for receiving light; and an arithmetic processor 37 for processing an output value acquired through the light receiving element 34. The arithmetic processor 37 performs arithmetic processing for calculating the difference between a first output value acquired through the light receiving element 34 when the light source 33 is turned on and a second output value acquired through the light receiving element 34 when the light source 33 is turned off. |
