PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a large load from being imposed on a server device for managing the progress of a whole on-line game by adding a character in the battle of the on-line game.SOLUTION: A zone server device 200 manages the characters to be moved on a field, including a player character to be operated by the player of each video game machine 100. The battle is performed on the field being the same as that where the player character is moved before starting the battle, and an enemy character only intrinsic to the battle is added. A server group 250 includes a battle server device 300 in addition to the zone server 200. Though the performance of the battle is controlled by the battle server device 300, information indicating the positions of the respective characters, etc., participating in the battle, including the additional enemy character, is periodically transmitted to the zone server device 200, thereby to reflect the information on information to be transmitted to the video game machine 100 of the player who does not participate in the battle. |
