PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can automatically set an image processing mode corresponding to a long or short distance by determining whether a subject is at the short or long distance.SOLUTION: An image processing module 1 sets an image processing mode to a profile detection mode, in the case where a subject is at a short distance from an image sensor 5 (step S117). The image processing module 1 sets the image processing mode to a moving body detection mode, in the case where the subject is at a long distance from the image sensor 5 (step S119). In the profile detection mode, the image processing module 1 obtains the shape, rotation, coordinates, and the area of a hand. In the moving body detection mode, the image processing module 1 detects a moving body, and obtains the coordinates. |
